Positive Emotions and Your Healthy Heart

Remember when Barbara Ehrenreich wrote a book debunking the current mania with happiness and positive thinking. In case you don't, here are some links to my posts on the topic... here... here ... and here.

Considering how quickly the mental health profession has turned from inducing people to get in touch with their negative emotions to building their positive emotions, and considering that much happiness study sounds a bit pie-in-the-sky, it is reasonable for someone like Ehrenreich to question the enterprise.

Be all of that as it may, it turns out that the connection between happiness and good health is not quite as aleatory as Ehrenreich might have led you to believe. In fact, as recent study demonstrated positive emotion, happiness, and the like contributes mightily to the health of your heart. Link here.

I just wanted to share the good news.
